         <description><![CDATA[<div>Born: 6th October, 1887<br>Died: 27th August, 1965<br><br>- Swiss-French Architecture, designer, painter, urban planner, writer, <strong>MODERN ARCHITECTURE</strong><br><br><strong>Timeline</strong><br>1887 - Born in Switzerland<br>1907 - First trip to Italy, Vienna for 4months<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Met Gustav Klimt &amp; Josef Hoffman<br>1908 - Paris, Work in the office of Auguste Perret, <br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; the French pioneer of reinforced concrete<br>1910 - Worked near Berlin, with Peter Behrens, <br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; might have met Mies van der Rohe &amp; &nbsp; Walter Gropius till March 1911.<br>1911 - Journeyed to the Balkans and visited Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey &amp; Greece.<br>1914 - 1915 - Dom-Ino House, proposed an open floor plan consisting of concrete slabs supported by a minimal number of thin reinforced concrete columns around the edges, with a stairway providing access to each level on one side of the floor plan.
