I think it's a very complicated question ! I don't really like euthanasia but maybe sometimes it's the solution. As for me, euthanasia can be used for very old people who would be living like a vegetable or who is suffering too much. However this decision must be theirs. 
On the contrary, I don't agree for young people. In my opinion young people must have more a psychological help rather than the right to kill themselves. There are young, they have a life to live even if they think their life is over. 
To my mind, euthanasia must be people's choice. So it's not possible to allow it for children. Children can't make this decision without being influenced by people around them. That's why they can't really choose not to live. Imagine how terrible it could be for a parent deciding to kill his own child...
I watched an interesting movie on this subject. This movie was called "me before you" (if you didn't watch it, do it, it's a good movie even if it's sad). It's about a man who had an accident and became tetraplegic. He wants to be euthanized because he thinks to much about what he had before the accident and that he will never have anymore. This man just decides that he doesn't want to live anymore. As for me, authorized that is like authorizing suicide. Moreover it's terrible for families. I think euthanasia is a little bit selfish. Maybe these people doesn't support life anymore but they have to see a psychologist and not to kill them ! 

So I'm quite against euthanasia because I thing it must have an other solution ! (Maybe I'm too optimistic...)

On the one hand, I would supporting euthanasia for people who are condemned. Why "let die" during years someone who's suffering, who can't live a normal life and think he's a weight for the others? "Help to die" can be sometimes the solucion, or even a gift for someone who's "forced to stay alive". But on the other hand, I can't be in favour of killing people, especially children. Who are we to decide if someone can die or not? The patient who's sufuring can't always explain what he really wants, and sometimes, this is the family who's suffering the most. In accepting euthanasia, we take the risk of many misconducts like murders masked as euthanisia... 

Actually, I totally disagree with the idea of mercy killing.
