Sure, robots are machines that are made and coded by humans.
However, robot's codes are very complicated. If one code fudge up, the entire thing fudge up. And it's hard to find the lost error code in a maze of other codes. 
If robots developed more or as much as human qualities, it is VERY likely to take over the world.
Back for thousands of years ago, we relied on hunting to get food... but NOW we just sit back and let the robots do the job for us. Robots would have to be created and programmed by humans and could not successfully do it on their own without a possible glitch or fault in the programme. Robots would never be able to create and have their own human intellect without programming and the aid of human ideas and experiences being used. Even with programming used, there is no sense of certainty that the robot wouldn't fail to create its own intellect and ideas about the world and society. The human mind is far too complex to recreate through technology and coding/programming. Though it would be possible that humans could create robots near equal to the human mind, it wouldn't be as sophisticated and complex and would run off past experiences of people, not new experiences created by the robots.
