         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; I am sorry to hear that your parents don't treat you as their son.&nbsp; You are barely hanging on now because you broke your back saving those kids in that fire. Everyone knows you as a hero and a role model. Doing such a heroic thing got your record clear and out of trouble from killing that soc. Cherish the time you have left and stay close to your fellow greasers . This whole world knows who you are now Johnny.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Soc: rich kid class in the youth age in the book; enemy's of the greasers&nbsp;<br><br>"We told him about beating the Socs and.... I don't know he just died"(Hinton152).<br><br>This word is used frequently throughout the entire book because the greasers (main characters) in the book fight against them.<br><br>Greasers: middle class, poor kids in the youth age of the book; brother hood like their greasy hair&nbsp;<br><br>"The shade of difference that separates a greaser from a hood wasn't present in Dally"(Hinton 10).<br><br>Greasers are the main characters of the book and aren't he brothers of the narrator.<br>&nbsp;<br>Heater : firearm , typically a hand gun.&nbsp;<br><br>"I remembered his voice: I been carryin' a heater. It ain't loaded but it sure does help a bluff"(Hinton 153).&nbsp;<br><br>A heater was often found in the book used as a symbol of protection and fear.</div>]]></description>
