         <description><![CDATA[<div>A genetically modified food is an organism that has had its DNA altered or modified in some way through genetic engineering. <br>Most, if not all of our food is genetically modified in some way. There are many reasons as to why our food is genetically modified. Traditional cross breeding for instance, involved selecting plants and animals with the most desirable characteristics such as:<br>&gt; Disease resistance<br>&gt; High yield<br>&gt; Good meat quality<br>&gt; etc..</div>]]></description>
