Call to Adventure

During 8th grade graduation, I realized that I would be going to high school in a few months. I was excited, but at the same time, I was nervous. This was the first time I really thought about high school.

Graduation was my call to adventure because I could not refuse going to high school. At first, I did not want summer to end but I accepted the fact that I had to go back to school.

Crossing the Threshold

On the first day of high school, It was hard to get enough motivation to wake up and get ready for school. I was nervous about my first day in high school. I was excited when I finally arrived.

Crossing the threshold is going from the known world into the unknown world.

The Abyss

During finals week, I had too many plans. It was very difficult to find time to study. During the school days, the finals seemed to take forever. I flipped through the question booklets page after page. Once finals were over, I was so relieved. I could finally take a break and relax over Christmas vacation

The Abyss is the hardest part of a hero's journey. Finals are the worst, most stressful part of the semester.

During the first semester, it was hard to get back into the swing of school. My friends and family helped keep me on track during the first few weeks of high school.

Challenges and Temptations

Remembering tests, quizzes, and homework was a big challenge. It was very difficult to remember to study for tests and to remember what homework I had to do. It was difficult to stay focused while studying and finishing homework.

Netflix was a big temptation while I was doing my homework and studying. I had the choice to either watch American Horror Story or do my history notes.

Marlin

When Marlin discovers that Nemo is going to school in a dangerous area, he goes after his son. What Marlin thought was good parenting caused Nemo to swim away from him and get caught by a diver. Marlin has to rescue his son.

Marlin swims after the boat that took Nemo away. He ends up in the open ocean away from the reef where his home is.

Dory

Marlin ran into Dory on his way to find Nemo. She helped Marlin on his journey to find his son.

Marlin and Dory survive their encounter with the sharks. They were able to escape before they were eaten.

Dory gets caught in a fish net. Marlin and Nemo have to save her.
