This picture can be considered as closure in Gestalt principle because of the close oval design create a matching design for the roof and the water below. 

the wall has a gap in it which allows you to see into the other room, but the door way still gives the illusion that the wall is whole and that the two spaces are separated. 

the windows are all quite close in proximity, however some of of the buildings are further back so the windows appear to be further apart, therefore the brain reads them as multiple groups rather than one
