Habitat loss can proliferate climate change but it can also factor in the transmission of diseases by have less space for animals to live therefore increasing interactions and the spread of diseases. While I believe that climate change may have exacerbated the spread of diseases, mainly through more regions being conducive to breeding mosquitoes, I am also hesitant to lay the blame solely on the climate.  I believe that population increases regardless of the climate, have increased the spread of disease.  We also have less disease in the world today than throughout history, and pandemics have existed long before global warming was an issue.

We are selfish and the way we exploit resources and take away animal habitats is the reason pandemics exist. We as a whole need to learn to respect animals and allow space for them to thrive.
