  • Tanks in world war 1 were incredibly slow. They couldn’t exceed 4 miles an hour. 
  • Mark 1 tanks had poor ventilation. The crew had to endure carbon monoxide, cordite, fuel and oil vapors.
  • Britain and France made 1,000-4,000 tanks in world war 1

  •  M4 Sherman was used primarily by the U.S.  The main gun was a 75 mm M3 L/40 which allowed the crew to fire even while the tank was moving. 
  • The most important American design of the war was the M4 Sherman medium tank. About 40,000 produced during the war.
  • Not that every U.S. weapon was great. The ubiquitous M-4 Sherman tank was plentiful but mediocre. It was the most used to win the war as one of the most deadliest weapon
