He stared to drink alcohol which makes him start to remember old memories and he talks to himself throughout the poem .<br><br>"Well, Mr. Flood, we have the harvest moon&nbsp;</div><div>Again, and we may not have many more;&nbsp;</div><div>The bird is on the wing, the poet says,&nbsp;</div><div>And you and I have said it here before.&nbsp;</div><div>Drink to the bird."<br><br>This quote does a good job showing Mr.Flood  talking to himself and and drinking&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
