These videos brought me back to my child hood always growing up around music and having family that wanted to make music but never got the chance to due to discrimination and racism. My favorite was doechii because I think her message was powerful. to not let anyone bottle up your talent and persue what you know you can do.

I thought that the woman who won the best rap album of the year had a really powerful speech. I thought what she said was really good, and her work shows that. She was the third woman nominated/given a Grammy, and it all goes back to the woman who started it all. Women like Roxanne Shante, and all of the others who were trail-blazers in the industry. They pushed past barriers and fought against sexism.

Something I really like about the Doechii grammy video is the historical significance, being one of the first women to win rap album of the year. It's symbolism of overcoming sexist and racist barriers and succeeding is truly empowering. A Grammy, being one of the most prestigious awards in the music industry is another great step towards breaking these boundaries.

Something that I really enjoyed about these videos was how much awareness this is able to bring to everyone. I never really knew the background of all this so I found it so interesting. Such as how some female artists had this interest since they were like 9 or 13. How empowerment has been shown, starting as a male dominated genre, women seen as rivals. To now many female artists stepping up and winning awards such as Doechii. I loved her message, expressing how much dedication she put into it all. How anyone can do it as well.

something that i really like about these videos is that they do a good job at really showing the origins of rap music and how rap music has had an influence on modern music and how much it has had an impact on our current perception of music and how it has really been able to make way for other people who come from different origins to be able to make their impact on the modern era of music in their own ways,

Something I really enjoyed about these videos is that they show a interesting and under talked about part of music history. These videos combat against the growing commercialization of Hip-Hop and most things that are considered "underground".

it does this by highlighting the stories of trailblazing woman in the industry and sharing there contributions.

something i really like about these video is it show how people can be creative and to prove that people of color can make good music and people thought it would never happen, and i really like that it's still happening like new artist and people trying to prove things even though discrimanation can still happen.

Something I really like about Doechii's speech to winning the Grammy is the emotion that is captured in her speech. It says a lot about how much she put into her craft, how much making history means to her, and how much her partners mean to her for being with her along on her music journey.

Doechii's Grammy award and speech carried major cultural and historical impact. being both discriminated against by race and gender made her battle a steep hill to climb. When you hear her speech, you really feel her emotion and... best I can describe is a sense of victory.

Something I really like about these videos is the representation and its symbolism showcasing their story. I thought about what Doechii Grammy winning speech is she spoke from the heart on how she accomplished so much and how she inspires many many young women that they can achieve great things. The impact it has when Black women like her show the world that they break societal norms fighting against sexism.
