Today's economy and society are drastically different. We need creative thinkers, and ingenuity, and that is where the current school model fails. There is a discrepancy between our current, evolving society and the structure of our schools.

Teaching children only through the Carnegie Unit (6 hours a day, 5 days a week, 180 days a year) isn't cutting it with a lot of students more and more each year. Many children are falling behind in their academics, while soaring in their daily activities and interests outside if school. What should we do? The education structures need to be changed. Summers need to be utilized for not only recreational activities, but also education. This is where our kids lose their progress! Having students seeing and learning about different parts, history and  opportunities that Claremont has to offer,  would help not only students but potentially their families.
