I took the RC training and led morning meeting with my 3rd graders for several years. I especially like their guidance about the beginning of the year and slowly introducing materials. Guided Discovery is a terrific practice for new items -whether books in your classroom library, science equipment or art supplies.

Emily- Knowing your students was most compelling to me! I feel that it is critical to know your students in order to create a safe comfortable learning environment for every single student. Without knowing your students it would be very hard to meet their needs.

By learning about your students you can learn how to present content in an effective way for them to learn it.
