  • Hi there! Ms. Masias is my name. I am an exchange teacher from the Philippines, and I am currently teaching in Tucson, Arizona, USA.

    Sinulog is my favorite festival. January is the month when it is commemorated. In Cebu City, Philippines, the Sinulog Festival is a colorful religious and cultural event that honors the Santo Niño, or Child Jesus. It is well-known for religious processions, vibrant street festivities, and a huge street parade with elaborate floats and costumes.

    Fun Fact about Philippines is that it has the longest Christmas season in the world, with preparations and celebrations starting in September and lasting until January. Another cultural custom is "Bayanihan," the cooperative and united attitude of the community where neighbors support one another
