The Annunciation is when the angel Gabriel appears to Mary and tells her that she will be the mother of God's one and only son. She agrees without any doubt and hands her worries over to God.

"The angel (Gabriel) said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.'"

Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. The Annunciation 

Mary accepted God's challenge to have a holy child under Immaculate conception.
This relates to faith because she trusted in God and wanted to follow through with his expectations on how she should live under him. Her faith with God gave her patience and trust that he would bring her a child just as she had wanted.
