I decided to enroll in Information System Security program because I enjoy working with technology and I enjoy working with cyber security even more.

2. Where are you from?
I am from Toronto Canada.

3. What do you hope to take away from this class?
I hope to take away some skills and tools that can be applied at a system administrator level or even a management level to get a better understanding of the best practices.

4. What is your future goal?
My future goal is to be able to work in cyber security as a red teamer.

5. What you of job are you seeking?
I somewhat touched on this above but I would enjoy be able to do Ethical hacking and/or pentesting

Why did you decide to enroll in the BAS-IST program?
I decided to enroll in the BAS-IST program for both Networking and Security degrees to gain further insight and knowledge about current and future technologies and allow for further growth into better IT positions.

2. Where are you from?
I have been in Gainesville and Newberry area since 1990.

3. What do you hope to take away from this class?
I hope to gain knowledge, skills, and confidence in information security and risk management techniques.

4. What are your future goals?
My future goals are to complete my final semester at Santa Fe [5 courses] and graduate with a dual major in both Networking and Security. I would also like to earn the CCNA, CompTIA Project+ or CAPM, CompTIA CySA+, PenTest, & CEH within the year after I graduate. Another goal is to either find a highly paid job or grow my own client bases as a IT consultant.

5. What job are you seeking?
I am pretty open for jobs as long as they are IT related but I would prefer Network or Security Engineer or I would grow my own client bases as a IT consultant.

6. What are your interests?

I have been surrounded by IST for my whole life and it is always something that has interested me. I know I will always be challenged at work and it will not be boring.

1. Why did you decide to enroll in the BAS-IST program?

I decided to enroll in the BAS-IST program because I enjoy working with computers and feel it is a field that is continuously growing.

2. Where are you from?

I am from Michigan originally but have been in Florida for about 13 years.

3. What do you hope to take away from this class?

I hope to take away from this class more knowledge when it comes to risk management and being able to determine risk levels and business impact.

4. What is your future goal?

My future goal is to continue my current career and explore other areas of IT.

5. What you of job are you seeking?

I currently work for a software company developing websites for homeowners associations. I really enjoy my job but would like a career in some form of cyber security.

6. What interests you? Hobbies?

I really enjoy reading and playing video games. My newest hobby is taking care of my new golden retriever puppy, not that she gives me an option either way.

2. I am a native Floridian, I was born in Lakeland and moved to the Gainesville area when I was 7. I've lived in florida my whole life.

3. Deeper understanding of security and risk management to apply at my current employer.

4. To promote to IT Director at my current employer.

5. To again become the the IT Director for the organization I currently work for. I held that position at another company for 15 years before moving due to family obligations.

6. Anything technology related. I am slowly turning my home into a smart home. 2. I was originally born in Virginia and then lived in New York until I was 5 but have lived in Florida since and have been in Gainesville for 8 years.
3. I hope to learn more about security and risk management and how to use it in the workplace.
4. I would like to become an IT Security Analyst at some point, I currently work at Publix so moving to the corporate level is something that I think I would enjoy.

Honestly, I thought it would make for a good career move, after several years following my first stint in higher education and several unsatisfying and unrewarding jobs. I thought it could be interesting enough of a field with lots of possible ways to use it, and should be personally challenging enough to stay interesting for a long while.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Probably better understanding of risk management and general information security to build off of previous courses.

Finish my degree, get a job I won't hate, and hopefully be able to become financially secure doing so.

I've got some interest in security analysis, but also think things dealing with improving security processes, architecture, and even working with datacenter design/operations would be interesting.

- My only desires out of college were to get a bachelor's degree and learn more about computers while in college.

-This semester I plan to get the CCNA and another certification. I plan to graduate with my BAS this semester. I also want to get my feet wet in some basic DevOps projects.

-The next position I want is in help desk support. Long term, I would like to do some penetration testing and malware research.

I recently started doing Hack The Box to get my practice in for penetration testing activities. Other then that, my usual activities consist of exercise, martial arts, video games, deep conversation with others, browsing the internet, learning new things and practicing mindfulness.

To obtain the knowledge and certifications necessary to prove myself capable. I will always be looking to increase my knowledge and skills.

Anything creative. I like many forms of gaming from tabletop to online. I love to read. Solving a difficult problem can be exciting as well.
