Keep a good schedule. Write down what day you plan to work on reading the textbook and the workbook assignment, write down when it's due. Try to get in your discussion posts asap, it makes it easier to get good feedback. Get interested! If the work seems boring, find something that you relate to. Psychology is everywhere so finding a reason to be interested is easy! That's my advice!

This class challenges you in the best way, and I feel has been the most "college course" I have taken here, as it involves research, papers, weekly modules, collaborative discussions, and the ability to do it on your own schedule. That being said, the best way to be successful in this class is to follow the schedule and order suggested by the modules. Getting behind is a long game of catchup, especially with other classes to consider. Put effort in, and a "due date" is not a "do date."

The weeks of this semester that I most enjoyed are the ones where I got my work knocked out as soon as I could because it gave me time to ask questions and actually comprehend things. The most stressful weeks of my life were because I procrastinated, so don't wait.

Honestly, I didn't take a lot of things seriously at first. In the first module, we were taught ways to utilize our notes to be efficient and useful - and I ignored it. I regret that deeply, and my advice to any upcoming students is to NOT brush off things because you think you know better. Maybe you do, and your strategies are better, but at least try these before making that decision. My life got so much easier after using them, in other classes in addition to this one. Use the note-taking techniques, use the stressbusters in your day-to-day life - it really does make a difference.

My advice to upcoming students would be to stay on top of your work and take good notes. Something that helped me was setting a timer for myself, about an hour to an hour and a half every day, to get the work for the week done efficiently and effectively. I think staying organized and on top of your work is really beneficial because if you fall behind it can be difficult to catch up. It's mentioned throughout this course, but taking proper notes and connecting concepts together is very important and will help you have an easier time writing your final course wrapper and understanding the material in general.

Plan your week in advance. Since this class is online there isn't really a way to get ahead, and there isn't really a way to catch up if you fall behind. I would suggest that any student taking this course understand that and plan how they handle work in other classes accordingly. Its easy to get overwhelmed especially later into the semester when assignments from other courses start to pile up.
