1. What is the most valuable technological tool (software or hardware) that we explored in class and why?

I think the most valuable tool we explored was FutureMe. I really liked this platform because it was new to me—I had never heard of it before. It felt unique and interesting.

With FutureMe, you can write a letter to your future self. It helps you think about your goals, your feelings, and what you want to learn. I liked the idea of using it in class so students could write what they think about science at the beginning of the year, then read their letters later to see how they’ve changed. It makes learning feel personal and meaningful. It’s a simple tool, but it’s very helpful for reflection and self-awareness.

Edpuzzle
I really liked Edpuzzle. It’s a platform where you can insert questions directly into educational videos. This helps students stay focused and think while watching. I would use it in biology lessons—for example, when teaching about food chains or ecosystems.

ClassroomScreen
This platform helps organize the lesson. You can show a timer, instructions, and monitor the noise level. It’s very useful during group work or lab activities. Students know what to do, and the class stays calm and focused. It also makes the teacher’s job easier.

Kahoot
During my internship, I used Kahoot and the students loved it. We used it for reviewing material at the end of a topic and also during free time. It’s fun, but also a great way to review and check understanding. It really helps engage students.

3. How should districts and schools ensure successful technology integration into (science) learning? Is it feasible for schools and districts to "keep up" with the ever-changing EdTech field?

In my country, platforms like games or interactive tools are often banned because people think learning is serious and should not be like a game. But I believe that technology can help children learn with interest and make lessons more lively and memorable.

What I liked in the U.S. is that teachers and students have access to many educational platforms. That’s a big advantage, because these tools support creativity, critical thinking, and active learning. Unfortunately, in my country, there are very few platforms, especially in our native language, which makes it harder for teachers and students to use them fully.

I believe that schools should support teachers, give them training, and allow them to choose the tools that work best for their students. Even though it’s hard to keep up with all the new technology, it’s enough to find the tools that really work in your classroom—and use them wisely. This was a valuable experience for me, and I believe I can help other teachers learn how to use technology in meaningful ways.
