He is a perfectionist and I was raised that the best is always going to achieve great things, but I am not the best. I do fail and fall and mess up. So, I try to show that I am different and that I am not perfect in everything I do. I mean I changed my major and transferred schools. 
Sense of urgency - I never see things for what they are. I try to always figure everything out by factual evidence. 
Worship of the written word -  I always try to double and triple check what I am writing, and if it makes sense so nobody gets confused.
Only one right way - I stride to not be prideful and to always look for different ways to complete a task. I am a hard worker, and there are always different ways to complete things. 
Either/or thinking - I overthink and overanalyze everything. It is in my nature because words and communication are tricky. 
Individualism - I try to always do something with a group because group work goes faster and is easier to delegate tasks and work. 
Progress is Bigger, more - I try to put my focus on the cost of the growth of people, communities, and relationships.

Teachers, while i was in school, would assert that they were right no matter what. I was a meticulous person. But then I realized that nobody is perfect and everyone will make mistakes at some point. 
2.-Sense of Urgency
I always try to do things at my own pace and learn from them. I started to create my ideology that everything is essential (Tasks, activities, etc) since there is always room to learn, no matter how relevant or irrelevant that is. 
3.-Worship of the Written Word
I am open to other people’s perspectives “everyone is different, and everyone has different abilities” I just try not to generalize everyone. 
4.-Only One Right Way
I consider myself a creative person, so sometimes I try to figure out (find different ways to do things differently). 
5.-Either/ Or thinking 
I try to learn over situations and things and identify what is good/bad to improve. 
6.-Individualism 
I am working on how to “work in groups”. This value is crucial because we can share thoughts and ideas that open our minds to effective learning. 
7.-Progress is Bigger 
I try not to compare with others because when you do it. The perspective of “success or things” can have a different meaning. “We are all different.”
8.- Be open to other perspectives, ideologies, and cultures; there is always room to learn and understand our world.

We, as students, always try to prioritize the most urgent tasks or things when in reality, everything has a function. We have to prioritize everything equable and try to learn. The second is individualism; everyone tries to do their things by themselves when in reality, we need to work together. Perfectionism: I try to always look at the bright side of things. When something doesn't go the way I expected it to go I try to find what went right instead of identifying where it went wrong. It's hard to do but in the end it leaves me feeling happier. 
2. Sense of Urgency: This is what I struggle the most with. I always feel like if I don't complete something as soon as I am given the task then I am going to fall behind. To try and combat this feeling I remind myself that I will never really learn what I'm supposed to learn if I'm rushing through everything. If you rush through life then you miss the beauty of it. Taking time to do something allows you to appreciate it and learn from it. 
3. Worship of Written Word: Being open to everyone's ideas and appreciating the thought they put behind it is a great way to actively work against this. 
4. Only One Right Way: There is never really one right way to do things. Everyone is different in their own way and we all take different approaches to the same thing. Remembering that not everyone thinks the same exact way I do is important. 
5. Either/ Or Thinking: I have never been one to think with an either/or mindset. I always try to find the middle where it's even and unbiased. Seeing both sides and finding a middle ground is important. 
6. Individualism: Opening up to others and sharing ideas and thoughts on different topics is important. Everyone has different points of view and getting different insight can open up a world of new possibilities. 
7. Progress is Bigger: I try not to compare myself to others because one of my lowest accomplishments can be someone's highest accomplishment or vice versa. Everyone is different so it's important to not compare.
8. Other Characteristics: Quantity of quality is a big one at play. You can complete 100 tasks quickly but they may not have been as well done as the one task you took your time on. But one cultural value I identify is “People are not open-minded”. Some always try to generalize everyone/ everything before analyzing or learning about it.  We have to be open to exploring new things and try to be out of our bubble “everything is about us”.

We are worried that what we want to say will be taken the wrong way or out of context, so we avoid saying what is actually on our minds. Students have the urge to be perfect, and because so much instruction is given in a short amount of time, students live to what a paper says vs what a teacher or professor said. Throughout high school my peers and I would strive to make A's by staying up late and studying often. Although we all worked hard on our assignments, we often criticized ourselves and stressed over what grade we would receive due to small imperfections. Similarly, this desire to do well was fostered to become the desire to be the best, creating competition between classmates. One should not stereotype a person only by what they see. Any kind of broad statement or idea applied to a group of individuals whether it be positive or negative. For example just because one sees a pregnant young lady attending school does not mean she will quit, or eventually quit college due to the baby. Some may generalize that "man" she won't graduate now. Society may assume your pregnancy was an accident but instead was planned well over a year ago...  People constantly wonder how finishing school is an option.  Society is set up against pregnant college students. We have to regard for all individual differences! There are countless examples of when people tend to generalize others and it is sadly simply "judging a book by its cover". Then one must have an open mind, and the individual must be ready to be molded into what may be deemed necessary. If an individual has a "fixed, negative" mindset one is already set up for failure. Accept all the realities that no one is perfect so we must not act like it and accept all forms of constructive criticism that will only further aid us in our future careers as educators! No, there's no one right way and hoarding power is not excellent leadership. I am to review their lesson plans as well as their presentations accordingly. Now this means rejecting the notion of "open conflict". It is important to give your honest feedback for optimal individual growth for your person upon performance review. If one only said good, polite, and positive things all the time one could not improve in certain areas therefore success is not really completely challenged. I believe this may tie in with Defensiveness because one should absorb all constructive criticism and not reject it. Some may get offended or assume that the individual may not like them and therefore are the reasons for the feedback. Instead, we must be able to welcome all aids for better development of our skills and performances.
