People usually think marijuana is dangerous because it is a drug and drug = danger = death.
The alcohol instead is not associated with danger, and in fact sometimes it is used as a remedy. For example, it is said that a glass of red wine a day reduces the risk of certain diseases, promotes digestion, improve blood circulation and heart health, extends life expectancy, reduces stress. But it's just a glass, not a bottle. And it's wine, not vodka.
Anyone can easily access alcohol and people abuse it so much that thousands of people are addicted to it or die from overdose.
As there are various alcoholic strengths there are also various types of drugs, some stronger and more dangerous others less and, although it may seem strange, no one died from a marijuana overdose.

The use of drugs among teens is increasingly common. There are several drugs, some are "soft" drugs, others are "hard" drugs. "Soft" drugs cause a state of relaxation in the body, although in the long run their intake can cause damage to health. Marijuana, opium and morphine are part of the soft drugs. Some of these substances (such as marijuana and morphine) are used therapeutically to relieve the pain of certain diseases. "Hard" drugs, unlike "soft" drugs, cause a state of excitement or ecstasy that leads the people who use them to perform dangerous acts for themselves and for others. Some examples of hard drugs are ecstasy, 🤬 and LSD.

I am in favor of the use of soft drugs, as long as they are used therapeutically to relieve pain; in my opinion, only some soft drugs should be legalized and their use should be regulated by the state. The legalization of these drugs would make it possible to limit the sale by criminals. I am against the use of hard drugs, as they cause serious damages to the physical and mental health of the people who use them. For this reason, I believe that the use of these substances should be banned and the drug dealing punished with very severe penalties.

I believe that both (marijuana and alcohol) are dangerous, both are addictive. Alcohol is more acceptable in society, it is in fact used during parties or to celebrate certain moments. The use of certain substances such as cannabis or marijuana is seen as something bad, not socially acceptable. The continuous use of both substances creates a strong addiction which is often difficult to get out from or can lead to death. Through some researches, however, I came to this conclusion that drinks containing alcohol cause greater psychophysical damages than cannabis and its derivatives and have greater potential for addiction (I would never have said that!). This is not to say that cannabinoids are less dangerous than alcohol, as both can negatively affect the mind and body of human people. Alcohol has no beneficial consequences on the human body, but only generates damage; on the contrary, cannabinoids could be of help in some disease conditions, if used under medical supervision. I would also like to add that, in my opinion, campaigns and slogans against drugs, are much more present than those against alcohol.

People usually believe that marijuana is more noxious than alcohol, but I believe that both are equally dangerous for themselves and for others.

Unfortunately many people do drugs or various drug cocktails and if you add alcohol to them as well, taking all these substances together this could cause overdose and subsequently death.

It often happens to hear that in show business certain actors, singers are found dead and then doing an autopsy of their bodies it turns out that he/she had used a mix of drugs and alcohol.

I am not in favour of drugs in general, but sometimes have a drink without exaggerating too much is not so bad.

I think it is your choice to want to harm yourself, but you know that there will be serious consequences of the actions you have done, maybe some do it for fun, others because they are not happy with the life they are leading, but this is not the way to cure themselves , the situation will only worsen and life is only one and should not be wasted.

I personally think that the use of substances such as marijuana are considered illegally and as source of deviant behavior, while alcohol is sold legally and it is more accepted in society.
Both are dangerous and addictive; alcohol, if taken in large quantities, can be harmful to the person's
physical health, causing vomiting, headaches, malaise, and in the most severe cases, ethyl coma. Marijuana use can lead to dizziness, affecting the brain or lead to overdose.
I also think that society should be made more aware of the use of alcohol, especially among young people who use it as an outlet or as a fun valve at parties. Instead, there are many campaigns against drug use, thinking it is more dangerous.
If a person claims that he has a drink or two he is not seen badly, while if a person claims to use drugs once or twice then he is seen badly and is turned away.

I agree with Vittoria Gallo's comment. teen agers usually start to use illegal substances when they attend high school. The first is cannabis, which has been trying to legalize for some time. Many young people use it because it is forbidden and they are fascinated. some start out thinking "I only do it once" and then maybe develop an addiction. marijuana is more dangerous than alcohol becauase marijuana can provoke addiction and a small amount is enough to alter the senses. it can facilitate the appearance of psychiatric conditions and has a lasting effect on the brain functions of young people in psychophysical development. I don't love and use both because they are really dangerous for your life but it's a personal choise. Marijuna provokes the symptoms in less time. so if you can try this pay close attention because it could become an addiction.

In my opinion alcohol is also more dangerous than marijuana because it has caused more deaths than nearly 1 in every 20 people in the world.

Cannabis has never caused anyone's death and it is a soft drug.

I belive that alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana. Both are dangerous and if a person use these substances without consciousness can be unsafe for his/her healthy. Actually in the world there are no deaths caused by the use of marijuana, while alcohol provokes 3 milion deaths in the world every year. In addition alcohol abuse causes inhibition, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting, and headache while marijuana doesn't make you phisically sick.

In my opinion people for fun use this substance but they don't know the consequences for their body and your brain and substance that are inside them too. They think that they are powerful and strong but they forget that if they overdo it too much they can feel bad or even die.

I don't agree. I think alcohol is more dangerous and harmful than Marijuana.

The people who take marijuana become nice, can relate more with people, they stay calm and relaxed. After taking marijuana the person remembers what he did the night before, he can do simple activites like using the phone. The people who use alcohol become aggressive, they can start a fight easily. They can do stupid things and put their lives at risk. After drinking the person doesn’t remember anything, he/she can’t do even simple activities such as typing on the phone or talking. Marijuana is better than alcohol but it’s not great. None is better than the other. It is important to take both responsibly and in small quantities.

I think alcohol and marijuana are both dangerous because they are addictive. Unlike Marijuana , alcohol is considered less dangerous, it’ s legal and is used much more. In my opinion, the effects that they cause in the person are equally dangerous and this should be considered. I’m not against drugs and I think that in some cases, for example for treating serious diseases they are really useful, obviously they should not be abused and used in times of need and not to have fun as young people often do.

I think alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana, in fact the inabity to metabolize alcohol as quickly as it is consumed can lead to a buildup of alcohol in the brain that shuts down areas necessary for survival, such as those involved with heartbeat and respiration; while marijuana affects the cardiovascular system, increasing heart rate and blood pressure, but a person can't fatally overdose on pot like they can with alcohol.

To think of a child of eleven to twelve years old smoking a cigarette or, even worse, getting an injection of a narcotic substance, makes me shudder, yet it is the dramatic reality. The drug has been called an octopus, for the simple fact that it begins by squeezing gently, almost pleasantly, but ends by inexorably crushing and suffocating its victim, who is then unable to free himself. To those who have started to take drugs and do it habitually, small doses of soft drugs are no longer enough, but they must resort to the so-called heavy drugs from which it is then very difficult to voluntarily leave. It's sad to see young people reduced to wretched beings because of drugs; those who once joked, laughed, played, had fun carefree and began to enter the business, so "just to try" are now unable to move, act and even think if they do not have the help of drugs to support them. In my opinion Alcohol is way more dangerous than Cannabis.

In a known fact that cannabis can be used no only for recreational purpose, but also to relieve the symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases, like SLA or Parkinson's disease.

Also, one of the effects of Alcohol is to increase susceptibility of users, that can easly cause rage and aggressive behaviors, Cannabis instead, has the known effect of calming people, making them more peaceful.

Another important fact is that alcohol inhibits the perception of danger, causing people not only to be dangerous when they drive, but also to not understan when they are too drunk to do it. Cannabis must be used in a very excessive amount to inhibits that mutch the senses to make you think that is safe driving even if you're high.

In some states, the use of cannabis is also prescribed to people with severe cases of insomnia, helping them to sleep.

Alcohol abused frequently often causes cirrhosis of the liver, that bring very fast to death, instead, there are various ways to use cannabis that have reduced harmful effects on the lungs.
