Doing Joint Tasks Reflection

I had to perform my tasks with stiff thumbs. The necklace and penny activities were harder for me. They were hard because the popsicle sticks went out over my thumb. I was able to overcome the problem by tying an easier knot and dropping the pennies from less of a height. My thumbs allow me to grab things better.

Muscular System Reflection

Three functions of the muscular system are breathing, pumping blood, and protecting internal organs. You have over 600 muscles in your body. The three types of muscles are cardiac muscle like your heart, smooth muscle like your internal organs, and skeletal muscle like your biceps. Voluntary muscles are muscles that you can control. Involuntary muscles are muscles you cannot control. Two things I have learned are that your muscles get fatigued very fast and that you would not live long if your heart was a skeletal muscle. Your muscles produced to much lactic acid so your muscles where not able to contract

I took hot water and put room temperature washers into it. I found out that the washers went from 80 degrees to 82 degrees and the water went from 104 degrees to 94 degrees. I also did room temperature water and hot washers and did the same thing. I found out that the water went from 75 degrees to 89 degrees and the washers went from 100 degrees to 81 degrees. The reason this is happening is that the hotter item is transferring energy to the colder item which causes it to cool down.
