Checklist- the benefit of a checklist observation is that you can record and assess the things a child can and can’t do depending on what is on the checklist. This will help the practitioner by knowing what the children in the room need support on and who don’t. 

Time sample- the benefit of time sample is that a practitioner can monitor the child’s behaviour at all times of the day instead of just a portion of the day and it shows what the child does throughout the day.

Narrative- the benefit of the narrative observation is that the practitioner or the observer can see the language the children speak towards each other and on how they react when communicating and to see all the children behave or not and to see what they can do to prevent it.
