The earthquake I picked was "10km SSE of Pahala." This earthquake happened in Hawaii. The magnitude of this earthquake is 2.7. Some people felt it but it was very weak. The epicenter was just off the coast of the Island of Hawai'i. It had no aftershock. There was also no damage done. There was no mention of it in the news.

I want to live in Miami, Florida. Miami doesn't have an active earthquake zone near by. The nearest earthquake zone is in South Carolina. The average magnitude in that earthquake zone is 4.1. I would probably not be able to feel an earthquake that happens in that zone unless it is a big one.

Here is a house in Hawaii that has four bedrooms and 2 baths. It is $189,000 and it isn't furnished. The only bad thing is the volcano. Volcanoes are mountains that have vents in them. Lava erupts out of these vents and it is very destructive. There is several volcanoes in Hawaii but the likely hood of your house burning down is very low. The Earth's layers affect Hawaii because magma is rising through the crust which causes volcanoes. Families activities include swimming, going to the beach, surfing, going through the rain forest, and ect. The volcano that became active is in Chile.
