The assignment here is to learn through the unit of diseases and take in information before putting it all together at the end. An authentic activity I introduced to my class was that they were able to pick one category of health they'd like to improve in. They did research and set goals to improve this aspect of their life during and after class. Communication is a big thing when it comes to health and success and this page shares a few points about that as well. Having students discuss and communicate gives them that opportunity to express themselves and succeed with one another.

In health there's a lot that goes on and ties into the community.
