I took inspiration from porcelain dolls because they are so fragile. The biggest symbol is the blue forget-me-not flower, which symbolizes memory and remembrance. The cracks and slashed parts of my mask symbolize the hidden inner pains coming to the surface. The lazily worn bandages symbolize how much I hide my pain and it's still there. The tears symbolize my external pain. The makeup is there because I like make-up.

Me and Ceyda decided to draw our east asian landscape on for a book cover. We used name pen and shaded some parts of it as well as carefully detailed moutains and houses.

Samreen: This scene is underwater so we added ocean elements like fish. We used coffee package, paper cups, an compang package.

Mason: I try to show the inviorment in the sea with non-recyclable materials like company package.

Mira: My weaving shows a scene under water with seaweed, rocks,and fishes. I used materials like coffee package, coupang package and paper cups.

Our goal for this Unit was to express our self with our initial, and we where all united with the moon on our art. We tried going for a galaxy theme.

We wanted to reduce plastic so we used bits of plastic in our art.

Together we made a multiple panel piece of art.

In the first piece it was fun and in the beginning it was hard but when I did it learnt it it became easier.

My group did this woven artwork which uses different textures, colors, and materials to create a layered and creative design as a group project with Nicholas, Aisha and Ali. The red, white, and grey colors create contrast and help certain sections stand out. The unfinished edges and mixed materials make the artwork feel handmade and expressive. Overall, the piece represents creativity, experimentation, and the art of combining different textures together.
