         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1984, amid technological advancements and school reform, a group of education researchers founded the Center for Applied Special Technology or CAST, to harness new technologies for improving education for students with disabilities.&nbsp;</p><p>As they refined their approach, they developed UDL, a flexible method to enhance education for all learners.&nbsp;</p><p>Today, UDL guides CAST’s research and development, leading to innovative solutions in curriculum planning, software development, policy, teacher preparation, and education research through strategic collaborations.</p>]]></description>
