Even in high school, people think the 'classes' are intimidating but we're all teenagers just trying to graduate. The only time I use my status to get something is when I go to the store and I just say I have all A's and I get what I want. If I'm being honest, I think status shouldn't be what defines us but reality makes it to be the opposite.

Ive use my status to get what I want by playing basketball because i'm a really good player and I use it to meet new people. I have been denied by my status one day is that i'm only a sophomore and I have classes with some seniors and juniors and they think of me differently for some reason I don't know why. But all i did was ignore them and did my work so i can pass and graduate. I felt weird in a way when they didn't really talk to me but it doesn't affect me for what i'm doing. Status defines who i am as a person because i'm just a normal kid trying to graduate and play sports.

In school is all about what grade you are in like lower class and upperclass. When I wanted to join a club they denied me because of my grade level and I didn't do anything and I felt it unfair because even if you lower class you still have rights to join. Statues doesn't define you as a person.

Even in high school status is everywhere... even at home sometimes. Status was mainly seen in medieval times. Back then it was peasants at the bottom and royalty at the top. Now you have freshman on the bottom and seniors on top. We're in the middle as sophomores... well juniors are too. Even people in the news even say middle class like they're calling us out. I don't particularly care about my status all I care about is graduating high school and have a good life. Status just labels us as people we're all human so why should status have anything to do with it if we're all created equal. Using status to try to get something you want is just an excuse to get it. Same thing for being denied trying to do that it's just an excuse to try to get it.

Status is important because it shows how much "power" you have in society. I've used my status by being the "favorite" to get clothes, shoes, my nails done, etc. I've been told I too young hang around a certain group. I didn't really feel attacked or anything because being in a specific group isn't that important. I don't think status defines you as a person because everyone is different and not everyone fits the stereotype of that status.

Status is important in today's society because people treat other certain ways when they find out like how much money you have or what your wearing or who you hang out with. Iv'e used my status for a lot of things like food, parties, clothes, also to get into better places. Also guess I use it from playing sports but I usually don't care. Iv'e been denied because I was to young so I couldn't do a lot of things. I was upset but it didn't really bother. Status doesn't define who you are as a person because it's usually rich people who feel like they deserve more and poorer people who are humble. That's not the case in all of different types of people. So I think status is just something that comes but who you are made from the choices you make.

When the coaches denied me i strived harder to make it the next year and did what i had to do on the division i was on. I wouldn't say i felt sad but i was mad at myself because i could've did more before the season to get myself better.
