Resin pellets are melted and moulded to a mould into a blowing pin and make the shape and cool it. After it is used it will most probably go into a landfill to get rid of and eventually biodegrade.

If the water bottle isn’t properly disposed. It might end up in an ocean or a lake. It is better to put it in a recycling bin instead of a normal bin. The normal bin is most likely thrown into the ocean. If we don’t the fish will die.

We can recycle or use it for other purposes to save the ocean.

PET is the most used type of plastic for water bottles this plastic is used to contain water instead of using metal or other expensive materials, this product most likely was manufactured then sold to stores then sold to us, mostly after we dispose of them it gets recycled or reused, sometimes it goes into landfills or oceans, sometimes people throw it into oceans themselves.

The potential danger is losing all sea life and dirty oceans, this mean we would lose most supply of food including crabs, fish, kelp, squids, sharks, and etc.

When we dispose of these plastics into bins, they later get thrown into garbage trucks. Half of the garbage gets either thrown into landfills and oceans, but in the upcoming years, most of the plastic would be recycled and reused.

If the plastic is not disposed of properly, awful things would happen. The animals would lose their homes due to too much plastic in their habitat. Marine animals would be poisoned to the plastic because it could be accidentally ingested. We humans would live in a horrible environment and would get very sick.

To solve this problem, we can: make videos and broadcast it on various channels to spread the information and prevent the rotting of the Earth. This can make people aware of the situation as it needs to be focused on immediately.

One thing I enjoyed about the process is spreading the important information and talking about my thoughts. What I thought was the most important part is stating the effects of polyethylene terephthalate to show the people around me the important things about this situation.

we chose plastic wrapper. oreo wrappers have recycling symbols on the back. a multi-laminate flexible film or other plastic, this is what oreo wrappers are made of. this product came from the US. and the wrapper is not recyleable, but the material its made from is. It might look like paper or it might look like plastic, but either way, it all belongs in the garbage. These wrappers are typically made of mixed material like aluminum, paper or plastic, making it impossible for sorting facilities and manufacturers to process. if not disposed properly, it will end up some place where animals and others can die. there should be a rule where you cannot throw or else you will get a fine.

The plastic product we chose is a big cylinder container that has a conveyor belt where people put their trash inside that comes in box and when the box is filled up a generated robot that can be productive and fast would take the box and put it on a metal plate that is also a conveyor belt that goes fast and can be stopped by a detector to a recycling factory that would create things example a cap made out of cardboard that would be smoothened out and painted which is sprayed with 100% sanitary spray that would be used to clean out germs. There can be another example like a frame made of plastic and wood glued together with hot glue. This project could take some time but would be worth it since it would help the world. This type of metal used for the cylinder is Metal A. Metal A would be used for so many metallic objects like laptops, foundations for a house, etc...

The symbol is a round arrow like a circle but it's 3 arrows and a saying given by the company for example "Earth would be less of a wasteland with you picking up trash. Come by get trash and add it to our conveyor belt". This product came to mind when I dropped a cylinder-shaped bottle and it reminded me to throw it out but then I thought why don't I make an object that recycles trash with a conveyor belt that moves it to my factory with employees. This product will be recycled to make other things like a hat made out of cardboard and painted. If the product weren't made properly it would most likely fall out of the conveyor and drop into the ground creating a trash land. If the product falls apart then we take out the parts and reuse it for other things. The important thing that I found out is with a team we can fix the world.

We chose a Montana water bottle because it’s made out of plastic and most importantly it can be recycled it contains contains a low amount of minerals and a neutrally balanced pH of 7.5, which makes it suitable for everyone, including infants. The sodium level is remarkable. Only 0.3 mg/l which makes Montana an ultra-low sodium mineral water. I think this plastic will go into the ocean like most of the other plastic objects, if this plastic ends up in the ocean it can cause many dead ocean animals and pollution and more, to reduce this impact we can recycle reuse and reduce, I didn’t know that The sodium level is Only 0.3 mg

If it was disposed wrong, it would be able to decompose easily as it is PET. Recycling and reusing can be helpful to reduce pollution.

What we found surprising is how things we believe are harmful turn out to be designed to stop pollution and stop our problems that we cause.

The type of plastic is known by the number in the triangle. Plastic bags are used to move many items, like waste, chemicals, ice, and food. This kind of packing is common. Swedish engineer Sten Gustaf Thulin invented the lightweight shopping bag of today. Norrköping was the first person to make plastic bags. There are many ways that plastic bags have made their way into my home. For example, when we go to the supermarket, they give us a plastic bag. When we throw plastic bags away, they may be recycled, but they will probably reach a landfill or in the ocean. Plastic bags can cause littering in stormwater drains. To decrease the environmental impact of plastic bags, we can reduce, reuse, and recycle. what surprises me the most is that the fishes are dying continuously due to human actions and their selfessness.

We choose plastic water bottles. The brand of water bottles we choose has Tritan plastic. Tritan plastic is used blenders, water filters and plastic containers, tritan plastic is used for these because it is strong and tough. Tritan is a copolymer made from three monomers: dimethyl terephthalate (DMT), cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM), and 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol (CBDO). Tritan plastic is typically delivered in a few steps after its production. The basic process involves drying the Tritan material, heating and plasticizing it in an extruder, and then injecting it into a mold to create the final product, such as bottles. We think when we throw away tritan plastic it will go into the ocean. The environment will get damaged in many ways from garbage like: the animals will get sick and some of them will die, the land will get damaged, plants will die and we will be affected because there will be less food and water. One way to reduce is to buy products with less packaging or to buy in bulk. To reuse, you can repurpose items like jars or clothing instead of throwing them away. For recycle, make sure to sort your waste correctly and use your local recycling facilities. I realized that plastic waste is more serious and harmful to the environment then i thought.

Plastic is a material we use in our daily life but the most is PET water bottle because it's contains water in plastic than expensive materials people use it because it's cheap and good but the problem is that people don't recycle it or any of that they just throw it but they can use a logo for recycling these PET bottles like making trash cans for recycling ♻️ that has this logo and also on the bottle so they can know.

What’s is PET?

It stands for polyethylene terephthalate, and is a form of plastic and polyester. They use this material as the packaging for numerous beverages and many more products.

Having looked into the company that created this, it’s shown that this is a local (Saudi) company that manufactured these water bottles. It’s bought by shops then we buy the water bottles from the shop then we keep them in our fridge or our storage rooms and consume them when needed.

What I think happens to recycled plastics or at least what should happen is that plastic or PET products all gets shredded and melted together to form new products again.

Reducing Impact: To reduce the impact of plastic water bottles, we can recycle them instead of throwing them away. We can also use reusable water bottles made of materials like stainless steel or glass to avoid creating more plastic waste (this is a better option).

Reflection: What surprised me the most was learning about how long it takes for plastic to break down in landfills and the harmful effects it can have on animals, humans, and the environment. It made me realize how important it is to reduce, reuse, and recycle plastic products to protect our planet. I was also shocked to discover that the plastic used in water bottles have BPA, “which has been linked to breast and uterine cancer, an increased risk of miscarriage, decreased testosterone levels, birth defects, and other reproductive issues” (Which plastics are safest? Plastic cups: It is made up of plastic and when you throw it on the floor and polluting, it decomposes very slowly, even though some of them are reusable, but when you throw it into an ocean it will not make a good change because this cup can kill our sea life and fish. For recycling symbols of plastic cups you can find a symbol of recycling plastic cups by a symbol of chasing arrows. Plastic cups are often used to drink water, collecting seashells and also collecting the waste of sunflower seeds after eating them. I think plastic cups came from China and it entered to my house after we saw it at the supermarket and wanted something to drink with after putting the water from our cooler. If I dispose plastic cups it will not affect in a good way unless I throw it in the bin but if I don’t it might affect our sea life and kill them also it will pollute the streets and make them dirty and look dirty. I think this item can be reduced if everyone has a responsibility to throw all plastic cups in the recycling bin. In this project I found out that plastic really harms our oceans, lakes, pond, rivers, our sea life and our streets also I was shocked that if we all put our cups in the recycling bins the streets and all mentioned above will be crystal clear.

The water bottle has recycling sign on the side of the bottle and a throw away sign meaning to not liter.

The type of plastic used is PETE polyethylene terephthalate it is a strong,stiff,synthtic,and resin, it is clear, and light weight often used for water bottles and food containers.

The lifecycle of our water bottle:

The process begins at the water manufacturing company, firstly raw materials are extracted such as natural gas, and petrolium to create to produce the plastic resin for the water bottle.

The plastic resin is melted, and molded to produce the shape of the water bottle.

Once manufactured the water bottle is than filled with water, packaged and ready to be distributed to local stores.

The water is then purchased by the consumer and used for hydration.

Only 12% of water bottles are recycled so it is a high chance the bottle will not be recycled due to negligence to our environment. If the bottle is not recycled it may take over 100 years to decompose and thereadter releasing harmful chemicals into our land and environment.

We need to educate people on the importance of recycling and the harmful chemicals that plastic carries, the best way is to start in schools and educate students about recycling, in our local communities we need have more recycling sites and awareness signs, creating a award initiative may help us improve our recycling actions.
