Even though I am not very good with technology and new ways to connect via the internet, I think wall wisher is a good way for the classroom to stay connected and people to interact with others as well as learn information on their own by creating information for others to see. I hope you all learn as much as I have from the information I am posting! Enjoy!

Even though the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 helped out many with disabilities, it wasn't until later with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in 2004 that required consideration of assistive technology needs for every student receiving special education services.

There are many different legal rights that have progressed over the years that started from getting assistive technology to those in need to getting it to all those in need, to the ADA that prevented discrimination of individuals based on their disabilities.

Why is UDL important?

To sum up the importance of UDL, basically is the motto for Assistive Technology, "One Size does not fit all." Everyone is unique and regardless of their disabilities everyone learns differently, but the universal design for learning goes more into depth on how to get the ones with more special needs the help they need to be able to learn at their full capability.
