Understanding what NAFTA is and how it works helps me to understand the importance of businesses and countries working together to be able to be effective in the economy in the corresponding countries. By lower tariffs there is more trade between countries such as Mexico and Canada, encouraging more trade and causing businesses and the economy to grow in theory. I interact with people coming from different cultures every day. Reading the chapter helped me to be more understanding and patient and challenged me to help them become adjusted to the culture as well as challenging myself to learn about other cultures.

This article showed me the presence of transnational companies that I was not aware of and the impact they have. Transnational companies have a large impact on the economies of the countries they interact with as well as in politics mainly in the originating country. I have learned the difference between masculine and feminine values in the workplace through reading the chapter and the article. It could pose a challenge to some depending on the type of job they are in and what job values are present each day. At my job there are mostly masculine values, but there are some feminine values present as well.
