What made this project truly special was the opportunity to connect with peers from different countries. Watching my students get excited to share their work and read messages from their international friends was heartwarming. It opened their minds and helped them see the value of collaboration, respect, and cultural exchange.

I’m proud of how engaged, curious, and open-hearted they were throughout the project. I believe this experience will leave a lasting impression on their learning journey.

First, because of the amazing teachers I had the privilege to meet.
Second, my students, who were so enthusiastic about the activities that allowed them to "travel" without ever leaving our classroom – despite all their regular schoolwork!
And finally, because I noticed a real change: communication in English! It truly motivated them to learn more and express themselves more.

I'm sad that it's over, but I'm thrilled with the results.
My favourite part was definitely the video calls – not only because the students met their international colleagues and got to know their cultures and habits, but also because they had a real experience using English. And they loved it! (Me too!)

Now, I can't wait for the new challenges – new projects for the next school year, all thanks to this experience and the wonderful teachers I met.

It was a great pleasure to work with you on this project. It was a wonderful experience for me and my students. Getting to know new cultures, meeting you, and having the chance to talk with you face-to-face were the most meaningful parts of the project. Seeing my students' excitement before starting a new activity, and their enthusiasm before the face-to-face meeting was truly priceless. We had the opportunity to actively use English and to explore digital tools. I hope we meet again in future projects.

Our Joyful eTwinning Experience

We are absolutely thrilled to share the wonderful journey. Our students have experienced through our eTwinning collaboration with our friends in Portugal. This project has brought so much joy and cultural richness into our classroom!

During the Easter and Ramadan seasons, our students took part in a heartwarming postcard exchange. For Easter, the Turkish students created cheerful cards featuring spring flowers, Easter eggs, and heartfelt wishes.

Similarly, in honor of Ramadan Bayramı, Portugese students crafted beautiful postcards adorned with warm holiday greetings. These cards brought smiles to our Turkish students, who appreciated learning about the traditions and sentiments behind this important festival. Through their thoughtful responses, they conveyed respect, curiosity, and genuine goodwill.

These exchanges have been far more than just sending cards—it has encouraged meaningful dialogue, fostered international friendship, and provided a platform for our children to practice English.

The simple act of exchanging postcards transcended distance . It affirmed the power of empathy, creativity, and cultural curiosity. I couldn’t be prouder of my students for their enthusiasm and openness—and profoundly grateful to our Portuguese partners for making this project such a positive, memorable experience.
