You know her level of cognitive engagement is different from her peers in the class, but you are not sure how large the gap may be. So far in class, adaptations have been made to her assignments by reducing the number of reflection questions she must respond to, and are allowing her to reply with a 2-sentence answer, rather than a paragraph.  The final project requires students to select a critical issue from class and write a 10-page research paper.
