The first clip I chose to anaylse was work this out, which is in High School Musical 2. The conflict in this scenario is all of the wildcats are angry with Troy because they don't want to be working these jobs as the boss is really mean and tough. Also Sharpay's and Ryan's parents own the country club meaning that they have to put up with them all summer.

Using
the 4 stages of forgiveness identify what stage the person us at in your
scenario?

Firstly all of the people who are upset with Troy the express how they are feeling which is the first aspect of forgiveness. Examples of this are ‘how did we get from the top of the world to the bottom of the heap’. I’d rather face a seven footer straight up in the post.’ All of the people are expressing to Troy how they really don't like this job as its so stressful and would much rather do other things. Understanding why is the next step, Troy explains to all of Wildcats that he knows it will be hard, but that they can make this job fun. This allows them to start to see things from his point of view. ‘And we’ve faced tougher problems than this. I know it's a grind, but I’m sure we can find a way to have fun while we get this job done.’ Next step is to rebuild safety; this step isn’t really used as Troy has never promised that he won’t do this again though, they just trust him. The last stage is letting go, which is what all of the wildcats do. Instead of complaining they all ask each other how they can help each other out. Examples are ‘tell me what you want, tell me what you need.’ Then it ends with all of them saying ‘We can work this out.’

How
does/would forgiveness benefit the giver and receiver in this scenario?

Forgiveness benefits the givers as they get an awesome job for the summer, get to work with there friends and work in this super cool posh place and get to access it after hours. The receiver benefits as they know that haven’t lost their friends and know not to sign all of them up unless they all agree to it.

So they wont let this get in between their friendship as it means to much to them, so they will be forgive each other.

So he gets very angry and upset with Harry as he feels betrayed and hurt that he wouldn't tell him that he was doing that, as they are partners in crime together. How
has this conflict affected healthy relationship principles?

The main cause of this conflicted was the fact Ron didn't trust Harry when he said he didn't put his name in the goblet of fire. Harry tries telling Ron but Ron just doesn't believe him. Whilst they were fighting Ron also refuses to talk to him, which is also affecting healthy relationship principles and meant that they couldn't talk about their misunderstandings. But to end the conflict Ron apologised which shows they used healthy resolution to solve their conflict as they talked it through and Ron had thought it and saw it through Harry's perspectives so he knows that he wouldn't do that.

After the end of the first task Ron realises that there’s no way Harry would voluntarily put his name in the cup and it got put in there by someone. It does get resolved eventually when Ron realises that Harry would never do something that would put his life in danger as he has had plenty of danger in his life already. This has just made the two of them closer, as they were able to tell each other how the feel so that they could both get over it.

Although this may sound silly I really did feel hurt about this as they all ganged up on my and said nah I ate it and all this other stuff and I knew that they where all laughing at me and teasing me. I even had one friend pretend cry that she was hurt that I would say that, then finally gave it back right near the end of lunch. It sounds like a stupid thing but its true. Firstly I told my friends how I felt about what they did, I told them that I felt really hurt. Then I tried to understand why they did that which was because I can give funny reaction, so they did it for the reaction. If I’m going to be honest they never apologised for taking it because they didn't think it was that bad what they did. Then finally I let it go so then I could move on because they didn't realize that it had hurt me as much I had.
