         <description><![CDATA[<div>      A Paiute Indian named Wovoka preached this religion, The Ghost Dance.<br>      Sitting Bull, a Souix warrior, embraced the religion. Later was killed after his first ceremony while resisting arrest.<br>      The Lakotas sent messengers to receive the new religion.<br>      The Ghost Dancers were peaceful who didn't harm anyone or destroy anything.<br>      <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>      It was a response to the cruel conditions on the reservations to give them hope.<br>      Was believed to promote the return of the dead and the repair of traditional ways of life.<br>      Hoped to rebuild their world by dancing, not fighting. <br>      Non-Indians became alarmed when coming across a strange new dance.<br>      The new dance was supposed to be the result in the disappearance of whites and the return of the buffalo.<br>      <br>      </div>]]></description>
