This is a very powerful quote about Transcendeltalist because it explains that life isn’t always about “finding” yourself it’s about creating yourself. Meaning your image to other people is nothing. The only thing that matters is how you view yourself. In the long run, that’s the only thing that’s going to matter.

This quote really explains the concept of transcendentalism because “stuff” isn’t needed in life. You don’t need money to be successful or powerful, and make your life better. All you need is the necessity’s and the attitude to make your mind and soul happy.

This quote is really meaningful because it shows how what lies “before” us and “behind” us is nothing or not important compared to what’s inside. Everyone always thinks about the future or the past but no ones pays attention to what’s within us. This really sticks out to me because what’s on the inside is really what matters the most.

This quote is really important and shows how people’s actions aren’t always good. Emerson is saying what your doing is so loud he cannot hear what people are saying. This means that your/peoples actions are so big and and unnecessary that the importance of what you say doesn’t show through.

This shows transcendentalism because its saying you don't need to have any worry days. This reminds me of Thoreau because he didn't ever worry, he was always go with the flow. He was very intelligent but he didn't really want anything to do with any problems. He was a very chill and laid back person. I'm going to try to have less worryful days and live mostly problem free.

It says that worry is wasteful. If you worry, all the good times will have been wasted on non important things. Thoreau showed us that we should only focus on ourselves and not worry about anyone else. Most of the time when we worry it's on pointless things that could've been prevented or not even worried about at all.

It is saying to be "true to who you are." Even though it's hard to not care what other people think but you have to be true to yourself. Thoreau really is true to himself and true to what he believes in. For example, he didn't pay his taxes because he doesn't need anything from the government in return. He sticks to what he knows and goes to jail for it. If we believe in something don't stop believing and follow your heart.

It is showing wonderful scenery of the North. Snow, birds, the peaceful community, and so many things are throughout this poem. Thoreau becomes one with nature and thinks it is very peaceful. This poem reminded me of him because he really takes the time to go in depth about what he sees and hears in the outdoors in his work. It says "like me you'll long for home," but when he says home he means wherever nature is, like Thoreau.

This picture is showing Transcendentalism because it is showing a house in the middle of nowhere, meaning that this house is becoming one with nature. This reminds me of Thoreau because of where he lived. He lived in the forest and became one with nature and loved it. This also shows transcendentalism because it is very minimalistic. Thoreau only owned what he needed, he didn't care about owning anything else that he didn't need to survive.

This image is very strong because in my opinion it is showing that God is nature and is living in what he created. Even God is a transcendentalist, because in what I have heard he created this earth and what's living in it. He was and still is a very powerful person and many people look up to him, but he was very laid back and minimalistic person just like Thoreau. Life is a better place when people only care about what is important and benefits themselves.

This picture is very interesting. It shows the world we live in in the middle of this image and a big tree around it. Inside this tree and under the world there are adults and children living in it. It stuck out to me because this is how it is today. Yes of course we live in the world, but if you think deeper we live in nature. Nature is all around us, it's what keeps us alive. But only very few people have taken it under consideration, like Thoreau. We live in nature but Thoreau wanted to get a deeper connection and let it just be him and nature alone.

It's a adapted version of Emerson's. It is all about self reliance and following your own voice. Following your own voice is very important in Transcendentalism because it's all about speaking up for yourself and what you believe in. Self reliance is basically not worrying on anybody else opinion, only focus on yours. In this podcast he says we have to be "brave" and "courageous" in our own body and words just like children aren't afraid to say what is on their mind. We should always stand up for what is right and let our voice be heard.

The girl explained how she downsized everything and now owns 100 items. Yes obviously that's more than Thoreau but she says it is a dramatic change from how she used to live. Thoreau was the king at minimalist living that has impacted many people to try and live the same way. This way of living seems like it makes people happier because they aren't always worried about their other unimportant things. What was really powerful is she said that she uses her extra space to fill up her life with things that are actually meaningful.

This shows transcendentalism by all the different words. All these words are pretty powerful. One of my favorite words on it is xen because transcendentalist people are very laid back and go with the flow. Another one that stands out is sublime, because this means a deeper meaning or beauty of something like nature. Thoreau and Emerson both show all these words in their way of living and writing.

It is taking about mostly Emerson who was the role model of self reliance. He put himself and what he wanted and believed before others. Emerson said "embrace solitude as a bride." Solitude means going without others so I think what he means by that is to embrace being on your own.

It talks about how being alone is okay. It says being solitude enhances your own personal well being. At times we can find ourselves being too "overworked" or stressed and sometimes the best thing to do for this problem is to be alone and do our own thing. Basically it is a good thing to have freedom and everyone has the right to have their own voice.
