In today’s sessions we talked about some problems related to teaching speaking. We actually encounter them all in our country. But the crowd classes and the shyness of the students are more common. We have 45+ students in every class and as they are teenagers, they are very scared to make mistakes.
2. We discussed a lot of solutions for each problem during the day and dividing the crowded classes into groups and let them peer correct each other will help us with timing. Today we covered some great subjects during our sessions. We have learned how to differentiate tasks in reading lessons. During pre-reading we can use matching pictures for lower levels instead of simple questions. In this way we can get their attentions. Then, however difficult the text is, we can adjust the tasks according to their level. In while reading activities we can use true false questions fir lower levels and for higher levels we can use inference based activities. As for the post reading activities, we can arrange those as well. For higher levels we can give them half a story and they can complete it, or we can ask for writer’s bias. 
2. Today we also learned that some of the mist common activity that is used in Turkey is wrong and useless. Reading out loud is not helping anybody and we should use other reading skills related activities such as skimming and scanning, guessing meaning so on and so forth. For these skills we have learned activities that can easily be implemented in our classes. We have both  examined new tasks and activities and thought of new ones ourselves instead of using that useless and outdated method. There are numerous benefits of being in a PDC for English teachers and we have already laked about those. However in my district I will need to improvise and think of new ways, methods, activities and motivating speeches for this project to become a success. The reason for that is the hopelessness of my fellow teachers over there. But still, being in this project showed me that I'm not the only one thinking like that. Moreover, witnessing and hearing the other participants' problems & solutions motivated me to do more. For the first time in many years I didn't feel alone and this feeling will help my colleagues in my local area.
2. Thanks to this project I have met (and still meeting) brilliant teachers. Since Turkey is a very large country, every district has its difficulties or problems in terms of teaching English. We have shared opinions and listened to each others problems that are specific to our district. We have decided to stay in contact for our upcoming PDCs. We will help each other if we encounter any problems or if we have any questions about a certain part of our PDC session. We don't want to be a burden to our mentors :)
3. In my point of view, planning phase was the most challenging part of the PDCs. but when I saw an example in our pack and when Ebru shared her own plan with us, I saw that it really isn't that difficult to prepare a plan. Until today, we have covered every part of a PDC session; therefore, we only need to combine them in a specific order. Especially I was worried about timing and you gave us a brilliant advice to have extra activities in our sleves if we finish early and decide which activities can be dismissed if we have little time left in a session. I will definitely keep that in mind. In addition to that, I am now certain that if we set our aims and objectives clear half of the planning is done. As for conducting a session we are reminded the roles and we should never forget that we are not trainers, lecturers or superior to each other, but we are facilitators and they are participant teachers. Additionaly we shared some positive and negative examples of seminars, sessions we had joined in previous years. Those will guide us to prepare and conduct a productive, inclusive and informative sessions.
