         <description><![CDATA[<p>I was able to accurately assess my stress level and I was also able to understand where my stress is coming from</p><p>Two goals I would like to achieve are to monitor and lower my stress levels throughout the semester. I would monitor my stress levels by taking one of the assessments each week and I would lower my stress levels by staying on top of things and creating a schedule. I will check in with my friend each week. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Week 2 </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Week of 9/22</p><p>This week I will try to correct myself when I am engaging in negative self-talk. I will monitor myself by keeping track of what I say to myself in my notes and how I can change my language to exert positive self-talk. I will keep a tally of how many times each day I negatively talk to myself and track my progress throughout the week. </p><p>A barrier that may stand in my way is that I am not allowed to use my phone during my class at high school. I will fix this problem by keeping a spare piece of paper on my desk to keep track of my self-talk and add it to my phone later. </p><p>Another barrier I may run into may be that I do not recognize that I am negatively talking to myself. I will keep a reminder in my phone so I am actively remembering that I am keeping track of my language. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <title>Week 3</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>9/29 </p><p>Last week I tried to engage in positive self-talk. I was able to keep this commitment throughout the week. I set a reminder for myself every morning so I would remember as i went through my day. </p><p>This technique was beneficial for me in combating stress because I was able to see the more positive side of things and lift my self up. I felt more confident in myself which made me feel less stressed. I learned that the way I talk to myself is a large part in why I feel super stressed. I will continue to use this strategy in the future to help me feel less stressed and more confident. I remember to use this strategy before my exams especially because it will help me perform better</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I will practice mindfulness meditation everyday this week. I will practice this technique for at least 5 minutes every morning. I will set a reminder on my alarm in the morning so I am reminded every time I turn it off in the morning. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Last week I practiced mindfulness by meditating for at least 5 minutes each morning. I was able to stay committed to this exercise because of the reminders that were set on my alarm. My biggest struggle was trying to get up in the morning and making sure I had enough time aside for me to meditate and still make the bus in the morning. I learned that meditating is a great way to start my day because it kept me calm and relaxed and ready for the day. I am checking in with my buddy every day.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I will try to commit one act of kindness each day for the next 3-5 days. I will accomplish this by complimenting someone each day. I will accomplish this by complementing somebody that I see in the hallways or in my class. I will remember to do this by writing a note to myself in my notebook so I do not forget. Another obstacle might be that I do not want to talk to people so I will use this exercise to push me out of my comfort zone. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I was able to follow through with my plan everyday last week. i made sure it was the first thing that I did when I arrived on campus. I learned from this experience that it is really easy to be kind and complement someone because something as simple as a complement can really make someones day better.          <description><![CDATA[<p>I will be creating a schedule for myself this week. This schedule will include what I am suppose to be doing for each hour of the day. An obstacles that I might run into is keeping up with my schedule, my solution to this is that I will set alarms for when it is time for me to move to the next thing on my schedule. Another obstacle I might run into are unplanned events/tasks that I may have to do. To account for these, I will leave some space for free time that I can use in case this may happen.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Last week I made a schedule for myself each day of the week. I was able to stick to my schedule most days of the week. When I ran into a problem with my scheduling, I rewrote my schedule for the rest of the day. I learned that I work better when I have my day and activities planned out. It makes my day go smoother and it is less stressful. I check in with my buddy every week. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This week I will try to make my environment more relaxing/healing. I will do this by rearranging and cleaning my room. This will help me clear my mind and have a fresh new room or the week. I will start by cleaning my room and then rearranging it. I will also buy some new decorations for it so it can feel a bit new. An obstacle that might get in my way is motivation. I will probably lack the motivation to do it but I know that when I am finished it will be worth it in the end so  I will use that as my motivation. Another barrier would be rearranging my room. I would have to get help doing it because some of my furniture is too heavy for me to carry.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Last week I cleaned and rearranged my room to create a more healing/relaxing environment. I was able to clean and rearrange my room and it made a huge difference in how my room felt. It felt more relaxing and I enjoyed to feeling of a clean room. I learned that it is important to take care of the things around you to help manage stress. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I will try the unplug sleep suggestion on page 253 in the textbook. I will accomplish this goal by setting a reminder on my phone for when it is time for me to unplug and get ready for bed. Some obstacles that I might run into are that I may be away from my phone and miss the reminder. I will avoid this obstacle by keeping track of the time when I am away from my phone. Another obstacle I might run into is that I may be out late. I will avoid this obstacle by making sure I am home before I have to unplug. </p>]]></description>
