         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Personality Traits:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Mr. Kraler is calm, kind, and responsible. He is serious about protecting the families but also caring (Franks 1.5).</p></li><li><p>He is trustworthy and practical, helping to solve problems in the Annex (Franks 1.5).</p></li></ul><p><strong>Relationships with Others:</strong></p><ul><li><p>He interacts most with Mr. Frank and Miep, coordinating supplies and safety (Goodman 45).</p></li><li><p>He gets along well with the families, showing respect and patience even in stressful situations (Franks 1.5).</p></li></ul><p><strong>Important Actions / Events:</strong></p><ul><li><p>He helps hide the families and brings them food and news from the outside world (Goodman 47).</p></li><li><p>When challenges arise, like the threat of being discovered, he stays calm and works quietly to solve the problem (Franks 2.1).</p></li></ul><p><strong>Differences from the Play:</strong></p><ul><li><p>The play does not show how much risk he personally takes; in real life, he could have been arrested for helping the families (Goodman 50).</p></li><li><p>The play simplifies his background; in reality, he was a businessman deeply involved with helping Jews escape Nazi detection (Goodman 46).</p></li></ul><p><strong>Works Cited (MLA style)</strong><br>Franks, Anne. <em>The Diary of Anne Frank: Play Version</em>.
