Main Event in Chapter 7:
Victor goes on a journey to hunt the monster down and avenge the deaths of his family. He ends up on a ship in the middle of the Arctic where he then dies in bed a few days later. 
Postscript:The monster gets scolded by the crew of the ship.
Walton is a member of the crew on the ship in the arctic. He listen to Victor's story and summarizes what happened in the book. Walton is a knot in some sort of way, he wraps the story up by giving Victor his death with peace of mind.
