After we had broken The Treaty of Fort Laramie (Big surprise 🙄)because we found gold, He, Chief Joseph, and Crazy Horse wiped Custer and his army (who were protecting miners) off the face of the earth. It seems like a bad thing, but we were breaking treaties here, people! No need to add to the 500+ treaties broken as well! The Sioux succeeded and saved the black hills! Afterwards, Sitting Bull and the US negotiated land with him. he said something like: "I do not wish to sell any of my native lands," *holds pinch of dust* "not even this much." He was chief, and he was very good at it. I mean, otherwise wouldn't his tribe have shot him with so many arrows he looked like Indiana Jones, but bad at treasure hunting? He wanted to help the children of the Sioux tribe, as well as get their land back and keep it. He wanted those children to grow up on the native Sioux lands. He whooped Custer!
