This exhibition was designed to encapsulate all of the feelings that people had over the overturning of Roe V. Wade. The artworks in this exhibition were curated from different centuries to reflect on the length of Womens struggles. Each piece reflects or symbolizes a feeling or an event that took place during July. These scenes may be from antiquity, but they still relate to our reality today. This exhibition is meant to tie together the two worlds. That of the old world and our current reality, the new world. Each work has its own special part in the collection. The collection is hung in the systematic or better yet known as the historical hang. The statue here depicts Silenus the Greek God of drunkenness and the wine press holding baby Dionysus. Dionysus is the Greek God of Wine. Silenus is said to be Dionysus' mentor and father figure as Dionysus is not accepted by his father Zeus' wife Hera. Hera is not Dionysus' mother. He is a child of infidelity. This artwork displays the Virgin Mary on her death bed. Mary is surrounded by solemn figures. The story behind Mary's death is somewhat of a mystery because it is never stated exactly how she dies. Mary supposedly died of natural causes in her sleep. This scene is of the battle between the Sabines and the Romans. This particular part of the story is that of the capturing of the Sabine women.
