- “One-ton, One-year” challenge:

+Live a very green lifestyle.

+ Produce just 1 ton of CO2/person/year.

+ Though it wasn’t physically tiring and we got much healthier over the year.

- Swiss people produce 7 tons of CO2 per person every year. The average African person produces a lot less than 1 ton of CO2.

- Resources of CO2:

+ Transport: local transport > flight.

+ Heating the home cooking.

+ Electricity for lighting, computer ,and TV.

+ The production of the food they eat.

- The experience in an eco-house:

+ Small => need less energy.

+ Be made from mod materials: keep warm in winter and cool in summer.

+ Using bicycles and the electric car.

+ All the power came from huge solar panels on the roof.

- Change their diet:

+ Just eat fruits and vegetables grown locally => decrease CO2.

+ Try to eat food that does not require much energy or production.

+ After 9 months, they realize that they produce nearly 1 ton of CO2 => stop eating meat and dairy products => take less energy.

- The challenge is quite tricky but the low-carbon lifestyle is pretty cool.
