Observing what toys the children play with and give them more. Making cleaning up a game. Cheering on when a child helps.

Reading a book with the same gusto as the first time you read it.

Reponding to the sounds of play time. Singing songs and repeating words being used.

Playing along side them. Being at there level. Teaching sharing as you go along.

Children respond in a first response action. Instead of the teacher repeating and repeating herself.



The teachers and aides are engaged either verbally or sometimes just listening.

Parents seem to go to the teachers more to resolve issues instead of going directly to the director for advice

Children are happier and feel loved

Teachers in a connected classroom will notice how much fun it is to play along with the children. They accept that children will have their moments and will work with them to have a more positive reaction when those moments happen again.
