Technology affected the outcome by allowing the strategies and technology to work  together causing the plan to be executed successfully. Strategy is used to make it so the plan works in a swift manner and it makes it safer. People performing the attack do not get harmed causing the number of soldiers to drop causing a weak spot to be attacked back. Without the technology the plan would not work if they need to fall back on something. For example if they are infiltrating an area of the opposite group and get caught they use a hidden weapon of a cyanide pill to kill themselves so they do not reveal information or be tortured. During Pearl Harbor they used a bombs and torpedoes. This caused tremendous amount of deaths amounting to about 2,000 people killed and at least 1,000 injured. Not only did just the technology used caused they also had a strategies on when they were going to bomb Pearl Harbor. The Bombs were dropped at different times in different spots due to the plan. This image below this post contains a labeled map of how they were bombing pearl harbor. This ties into the question of how technology and strategies effected the outcome to a certain extent. The information I have stated gives proof about the success of two working together. In the Battle of Okinawa multiple times in the battle it has shown the uses of technology. During the battle they used weapons like rifles, planes, and battleships. All of this amounted to great amounts of damage and deaths. Strategy also played a part in the battle the Japanese had plans on where to place turrets and when to send down kamikaze planes. The Japanese were not the only ones to have new weapons and strategies to use during war fair. The US also used new weapons. Due to the US using strategies like using the Marines to rush the island and using naval artillery like in the picture below and aircrafts they were able to win the battle. In the bombing they used two bombs one nicknamed Little Boy a uranium-235 bomb and the second one called Fat Man a plutonium bomb. Little Boy was dropped at 8:15 am 2,000 feet over Hiroshima destroying five square miles of the city. Fat Man was dropped 11:02 am which destroyed 2.6 miles due to the landing being in between mountains. The US planned the dropping of the bombs specifically so that they would be able to do it stealthily so that the Japanese did not try to flee prior and they also did it so that it would have the best impact.
