Some Pedestrians might be hurt if some of these roads went through parks. Also car drivers would have a tiny bit less of space. People who drive street cars and people that own the street cars themselves would be getting less and less money because people would start to bike instead of taking streetcars. Bike riders and pedestrians who now have safer area to bike and learn how to bike.The environment would also obviously benefit from less people having to drive cars and more people biking. Some people could benefit from this proposal because it would be a safer way rather than biking on the side of the road or on the sidewalks where it can be illegal to bike and you might hit somebody. Also it might encourage more people to bike to make a cleaner community.

Streets or roads may already have a bike lane, but they are tiny and only one of them. Adding bike lanes may require making bigger streets, but it will make the bikers safer. Now the people in cars would have less room but we could possibly increase street sizes. Not every road must have lanes but in major populated areas would be ideal. Funding could come from the government or the Government offices in Louisiana. It would mean that for a while they wouldn't be able to use the sidewalks outside their houses. 

Bikers and walkers would benefit because they wouldn't have to jump/swerve out of the way when they are both sharing a sidewalk.

My proposal could be paid for by the construction companies and or taxes.
