The app will have a section for general medical information, for example the pre-existing conditions, prior injuries, etc. that one would normally fill out in paperwork when they get to the doctor’s office. This essentially eliminates the need to fill out paperwork at a doctor’s office. This is the portion of the app that I plan to complete during this class. If the app can connect to databases, I want it to be able to immediately copy the information from this app into the doctor’s database, and I also want it to have the capability to sync information with the doctor’s database, meaning that when a doctor is connected to a patient’s profile, they could edit information on it. In the future, it will have a “Visit Information” section where a patient can view doctor’s notes from specific visits. It will also have a reminders section where a doctor can set a reminder for a patient to take medicine or a patient can set their own reminders. Another section that I want it to have eventually is a chat section where a doctor can more easily contact a patient than they can now. Finally, I want it to have a section with added information from doctors. This will be information that doctors find very important about the patient that may be relevant to other doctors, such as something that a patient’s allergist thinks may be relevant to a general physician, but the information isn’t necessarily a part of the patient’s general medical information.
