On your writing copybook, answer:

1) What is the first sentence in a body paragraph? (👉 Topic sentence)

2) What do writers add after it? (👉 Details / Examples)

Write your own body paragraph in your copybook. Include:

1) 1 topic sentence

2) 2–3 detail sentences

“How to write a conclusion in writing.”

On your writing copybook, answer:

1) What words show the ending? (👉 Signal words like Finally, In conclusion)

2) How do writers remind the reader of the main idea? (👉 Restatement)

3) How do writers finish strongly? (👉 Closing idea)

Write your own conclusion in your copybook.

1) Start with a signal word

2) Restate your main idea

3) Add a strong closing sentence

1) Swap papers with a partner.

2) Read their story carefully.

3) With a colored pen, give ONE idea to make it better.

Example: “Add more about what the main character looks like.”

Editing (Small Fixes):

1) Take back your own story.

2) Use your iPad or colored pen to check:

- Capitals at the beginning of sentences

- Correct punctuation (. ? !)

- Spelling of tricky words

- Neat handwriting and spaces
