This is because it doesn't take count of the poor and deprive. Without realizing , it will increase the burden of poor citizens. In the EU or ( European Union 🇪🇺) ,  it is referred as " light bulbs socialism " . Due to this problem , bulk purchasing arise . It has been reported that 150% rose for retailers profit in the European Union . 

Through my point of view , this gives bad effect for citizens of 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES are THAT are still developing. Eventough normal incandescent bulb is cheaper but it is not long lasting and the life span is very short. Energy saving bulbs can save up to 25%-80% of energy and the price is also affordable. According to the website, not all incandescent light bulbs are banned, only the ones which fail to meet the standards set by the EISA. Is replacing all lighting in a house with LED bulbs good, well not really. When someone buy LED bulbs and hardly use them, the person will actually be paying more than an Incandescent bulb because although the electric bill is low, the cost of the LED bulb is not. Therefore, when someone uses an incandescent bulb but uses it less or only for a short period of time, he is actually saving more money than buying an LED bulb

From this activity, I had learned that everything has a downside and an upside. No matter what it is, everything has a purpose as it was build to do something. But as technology rises, these things often get replace by new inventions which prove to do the things that they had done better. Even though as said, they can't directly replace old technology as everything has an advantage over the other, it's just how much advantage does it have over another. In this activity i had learned that although incandescent light bulbs are being replaced by energy saving ones, incandescent light bulbs still have their advantages such as radiating lots of heat which could be useful during very cold nights.Besides that, i had learned that we have be considerate and realize that what we do will affect other people for the good or even for the bad.
