When I received the email from Leeds that our language classes would begin in July 6th, I felt pretty nervous and afraid as I did not have a solid grounding in learning English and I have not use it for five years. Apart from that, I believed the course would take all of my time to study expect sleeping and having food.
When the class began in that day, I saw lots of students who are from the same country with me and we have a group in teams, I felt a little better. Until now the first-four-week classes will be finished, I find something need to be modified I thought before. For example, I pretty enjoy the things we learnt from the core readings that are meaningful for my study in the future, and also the independent learning we need to do before every live courses which helps me to develop a good study habit. In addition, I have much free time so that I can arrange my study actively and automatically, or just relax with myself.
In a word, I enjoy the courses and I will still make great efforts to do my study !
Thank all of my group-mates and every tutor!

When I came to Leeds and I planned to send my daughter to nursery to prepare her for school, as a first time for her, I was confident that she will be more than happy to be in school and it will be a good experience for her, especially that she is social person. Unfortunately, she didn't get along with nursery, and I feel frustrated and it was a big problem for me. Later, she took along time to get settled down in the nursery and now she is ready for reception.

When I started to learn English, I thought it would take me years to get ready for my postgraduate. I was a bit confused, afraid, and to be honest I was not confident in myself that I would be able to speak, write and do research within a year. But since I have started everything has changed, I became better day by day. Although I am still learning English and I am not 100% ready for my masters, I am more confident in myself than before.
Finally, I really enjoy learning English, it is open my mind to a lot of things, I met lovely people, and I had a lot of friends. Well, I don’t regret my decision to take this step.

Especially when i am glowing up, i find that i have been afraid of challenging myself because of to be failure.
i have been stuck in these problems for a while. And i also took some actions to break out this circle but never achieve my ideal results because i can't insist. For example, i attempted to develop habit of getting up at 6'o clock every morning and to quit smartphone replaced by reading books.
And recently , i have just figure out why i can't alway keep my every little aim through communicating with my friend. He told me ' you have no ideas for yourself, you never ask what do you want. Every thing you tried is in order to cater to the standard of this society but your mind, so that you can't find the reason and motivation to stand with you'.
Actually, i often consider i am a independent person and merely care for opinions from outside. In the fact, however, i am wrong because i have the cognitive basis for myself and my thinking, and now, i am going to reset my think and restart the life belongs to me.

My undergraduate major is Chinese Language and Literature, and I became interested in education in some of my university experiences. At that time I thought that language and education were closely related majors, so even without practical experience related to education, I could apply for postgraduate education majors. Then in the year I graduated, I applied for a postgraduate education in Hong Kong, but all I received were rejection messages. So I started thinking about how I should work hard to achieve this goal, so I started to understand education more comprehensively, read as much academic literature as possible, and constantly enrich my experience in the education.

At the beginning, I chose to study medicine because I thought it was a very noble job and I could treat illnesses and save people. I thought the patient would appreciate me and respect me, which would make me feel very fulfilled.
However, during my internship in the hospital, I found that many patients were of poor quality and would beat and scold medical workers at every turn. One of my seniors was beaten to a miscarriage by the patient because he felt that her attitude was not patient enough. Some patients even kill medical workers just because they think the hospital charges are expensive. So I chose to change my major at the graduate level.
A great Chinese writer Lu Xun once said that studying medicine cannot save Chinese people. I think that's what I meant, so I gave up studying medicine.

At first, I thought this major would be difficult for me to learn. After learning accounting in my junior year, I found that I fell in love with accounting. I found the fun in it. For example, when we learn about auditing, I will learn how many enterprises intentionally make mistakes in financial affairs and how we should find out the mistakes. In the process of learning, I gradually found that auditing is a profession that needs to have its own professional ethics. At the same time, I also hope That I can become a qualified auditor.

I thought we can arrive at Guilin for just five hours by flight, as a result, I ordered the tickets on the day before the deadline. Unfortunately, because of the bad weather, five days later, when we arrived at the airport, we were told that the flight was delayed, that made us really disappointed.

Before I started this four week session, although I feel a little bit nervous but I think that might not be very difficult because I feel confident about my English. But when I engage in the course, I found that it was completely different from what I had imagined. The hardest thing for me is we need to study independent more and more, during my past study, I was familiar with the teaching methods that followed the teacher’s step and be a recipient of knowledge. At the beginning of the course I feel very difficult to adapt. But now after the practice and complete everyday independent tasks I gradually adapted to this way of learning, and I found that can help me gain a better understanding of the knowledge I have learned because I have more of my own thinking! That makes me have a great sense of satisfaction.

I felt disappointed about this situation and how can I move on to my studies. After a while with more sessions and classes, I realise that was the wrong path of understanding, and require me to understand the article generally not every single word.
