As a Gen Z I think it is safe to say that I am mostly scrolling through social media, because of this i've seen foreigners talks about the experiences have in the Philippines. First is that filipinos are resilient and happy, when foreigners visit the country they said that they experience warn welcome, even if they are living in slums and dealing with poverty they still smile and laugh life it's nothing. Second is that filipinos are talended, not just in dancing but specially in singing. Third, the strait of being collectivism, compared to other counties that are individualist, filipinos do not think about oneself but think about the others, most filipinos do not have the mentality of "giving back to parents are optional" instead filipinos believe that "my family and obligations", filipinos love to help act as one.

The semiotic theory can be applied in Philippine culture and to culture in the world. The semiotic is what shapes every culture, it is like a stereotype basically, i've seen contestant in America's Got Talent that as soon as they said that they are from the Philippines, they already assumed that they are a great singer, which was right. Semiotic is like small pieces of representations of a big piece and they they are put together we can identify what it is.
